04 central dash - taking apart

Posted this in sub forums tech area, but got no asnwer.
And I'm planing on doing this tomorrow.

I'll be doing some installations in my g35 04C this weekend and will need to take the central dash apart. Is it hard? Screws i should take out first? Pics would be perfect.

since the procedure is kinda long you probably wont get a great detailed step by step reply... i suggest you go over to the a/v section (or diy section) and search for the diy guide for it..

If you're talking about the center console arm rest area, theres also a write up for that on that same site.

Either way hope that helps

You have to take basically everything apart. I think the most important thing to remember is to take out the trim piece around the clock. There is one screw behind there that holds the radio in.

Other then that, drop the glove box, which is pretty simple and drop the drivers side dash.

^^^^ thats prety much it centerdash is not hard....pop up trim around shifter, then 2 screws under bottom of radio, glove box & side panel, driver underpanel & like he said dont forget the 1 screw behind the clock (glovebox has most screws 4 on top inside & 1 or 2 on bottom outside)

I just changed my entire dash 2 days ago, had blown passenger airbag took 4ever
started at 10am finished at 3:30PM didnt take not one break, now that i know where all the screws & clips are I can probly do it in about 2hrs just hope I never have to again!!!

wish i had time to make a DIY
