Angry Speeding ticket Big Sur

Well had a tough week of work so I loaded up the girl and the "G" on Friday the 13th to head down to Big Sur to do some camping.

I am 7 miles from the Camp Ground (after driving for over an hour) and the road kind of straightened out after all of the curves for the past few miles. So I open it up a little following behind a BMW. We crest this hill start coming down the back side and I see a truck with just the parking lights on, on the other side of the road and wonder whats up with that.. Oh sh** highway Patrol. I look in the review and here he comes.. Maybe he will get the BMW.. Nope nabs me.... Walks up tells me I was doing 78 in a 55. I try to talk nice and tell him I have not had a ticket in 8-10 years. He came back and wrote me a ticket for 65 in a 55. Said he cut me a break.

The thing that sucks the most. Two days ago I was laughing thinking about all the guys that got tickets in the first couple of months of getting their "G" and here I am with none.. Well I guess the last laugh is on me.. Traffic school here I come. Oh he said the BMW was only going 68.....

At least you have the traffic school option in CA. It's a license saver. I took the online class before and it took FOREVER.

If I am not mistaken a Gold Card is when you are a member of the fellow member of the Highway Patrol. I don't know if a radar detector would have worked because I carried the speed up the hill and then coming down the back side of it when he got me... By the way I am not complaining, I have gotten out of 5 tickets from just being cool and I probably would have on this one as well but he said my speed was just to high to let me go. I signed it and just moved on... Heck I thought I was going to get flamed for taking the "G" camping.

A gold card is a fully gold plated PBA card that gets you away with pretty much anything besides vehicular manslaughter lol ( that was a small jk ) For example when i get pulled over on the highway for speeding 30+ going to school i get away with a warning or a reduced ticket like haveing no front plate or having tinted windows lol I LOVE IT =-) the only way you can get them is if you have a family member who is an officer ... brother or father or cousin or w.e. it may be or if your close with a cop or a sheriff.

Okay I'm from RI and I've never heard of a Gold Card. Is that nationwide?

This must be an east coast thing; here people put CHP 11-99 foundation bumper stickers on their cars. CHP will write you a ticket regardless.

gold card is just an imaginary card.... basically, if you get a speeding ticket, al you do is tell the officer that your dad is a cop. he's gonna ask for the name or badge number. you give it to him. when the cops go back to his computer to search for it, u step on the gas and pray.
