Please bare w/ my rant i am just sooooo pissed off. So im on my way to a meeting this morning and the parking lot was not even a block away then a cop bike on the other side of the street looks my way and busts a U-turn and plants me a ticket... not for speed, not for anything.... but my tints were too dark and he noticed no front plate, and my windows were half way down and he noticed it!!!! WTF, im in the 818 area and i was driving on balboa about to hit sherman way (for the san fernando valley people), if anyone knows any cops that right tickets off pm me, freaking bad day

At least you are not like the dude in New Orleans the cops shot his brother and tried to pin the fault on him. Fabricating evidence and such at least that's what CNN said.

 

so what man i always get that combo. of tickets lol well since i have a Gold Card i get either one now but i get them instead of the 30+ mph speeding ticket i should've gotten... I LOVE GOLD PBA CARDS! lol

 

heh that sucks balboa and sherman way huh. cops down there? usually cops on ventura and barely ne where else. but sucks man its not to bad gonna cost u like 80 bucks total to pay off ticket and put new tints back on if u want them. If you can get sumone to write it off lucky u.

 

^^ what do you mean put new tints back on...why would he put on new tints for?? down here in jersey a tint ticket it like $60 while the no front plate ticket is about $50

 

that sucks bro.. when i see a cop i just open up my sunroof for more lighting so the tint looks lighter or i just roll my window all the way down. good thing down here in florida front lisence plate is not mandatory.

 

the ticket doesnt show price, just a fix it, and yeah im going to put tint back on, funny thing was i had 20% and was thinking of putting 5% on top of it, to make it like my rears, my rears have two layers of tine 20 and 5%, so now i can just take them off (if i cant get it written off) go show that its off, and then put 5% back on

but yeah its weird i didnt see any price tag for the ticket, just the fix it box is checked, really weird

its funny cause i normally always have my windows down, hot or cold, and this morning i just didnt feel like putting them down and then i finally get a ticket, pisses me off a lot, but yeah thanx for the feed back guys, really does help me feel better

 

tint ticket is about $120 ish and so is no front plate. if you choose to get neither fixed, it will definitely be $200+ ticket.

fixing the front plate should be easy, and since you are re-doing the tint anyways, $20 plus the cost of removing and putting on the tint.

The lic plate is a simple fix, but the tint is gonna cost to remove and then re-apply.


Sucks. This is just another tax on having a nice car. The cop was doing what he gets paid to do (sad as that is) he is employed to write traffic tickets. Seems like its a chickensh1t ticket to write you up for tint...in California 4 out of ten cars have tint, and just as many don't have front plates.

I guess the cop wasn't feeling inspired, and was just looking for easy tickets.
