G35 Coupe - Front Tires

I have a 04 G35 Coupe with OEM 19"s and I need new front tires. Tire Rack has a SPECIAL on 245/35-19 for $141 ea. Could I use these as front tires and what effects would I have by using a tire 20mm wider and just .25" shorter?

Here's a link to a great tire and wheel size comparator resource that I found that should help answer your tire question.

http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

I've found it really helpful myself in the past.

Thanks Doc,

I believe I'll be ok with the 1/2 priced RE050a 245/35-19s in the front of my Coupe. I'll gain .7" in width and lose .3" total in height and only 1.2% slower spedo error. (shows 60mph when I'm going 59.3mph).

Later,
Al

Your speedo is affected by the drive wheels (rear). If you're changing just the fronts, speedo is unaffected.

Dude that's a pretty good deal on those Bridgestone. I'd grab those in a sec but I wanna try Dunlop SP Sport Maxx next.

Thats what I have on mine they are awesome they fit fine. Mine are bridgestones same deal from tirerack and the side walls are thick but they are the closest in diameter to the stock 18's with tire. So your speedo is still acurate. I can send you pics if you want.

I have already mounted them and I love them. An extra 3/4" of rubber and great response. I high recommend these if you are in need of new front tires...
