I got pulled over last night in the loaner doin' 84 in a 65 - he let me go

 

In Cali, the tint on the front windows is a FINE! $77 bucks. I've gone through this one before. You do not need to get it fixed, since it is a fine, you just pay the fine, thats it. You can fix it if you want, but it is not required. Front plate is a fix it though, get it signed off and pay $10.00.

 

cali sucks for auto laws.. register your car out of state!!

 

They are cracking down on that too.

 

State police officers cannot enforce another state's laws (jurisdiction). And they can't impose their state's law on something the state in which your vehicle is registered in does not require (e.g., front license plates, tint restrictions, etc). That said, wherever you reside, you must register your vehicle in that state unless you're military, etc.
