Compustar Alarm vs Viper 791XV
I got a 06 6MT Coupe and was wondering if a Compstar alarm,

i had a compustar on my former vette. it is the only alarm that i've ever owned that never seemed to output any false triggers. i was very satisfied by it. only thing i noticed was that the handheld unit showed some real wear and tear after just a year. i found the compustar better than the viper and clifford alarms i had previously.

Thanks for the help,
I was wondering if its wise to get the remote start, dont they disable the clutch having to be pressed to start the car, also is it safe to remote start the engine all the time?

as long as you get a good one then remote starting will not hurt your car

Basicaly when you come to a stop you have put the car in nuetral and let go of all pedals. Pull up the hand brake you will hear a click stating that manual mode has been activated. Then remove the key and exit the car. The car will run until you close the door. Once the door is closed the car turns off by it self and arms the alarm. If you dont follow this the alarm will not let you start the car.
I could be wrong here, but i think you will void the waranty of the Viper if you install it in a manual Transmission vehicle. As far as i knew Viper did not do Manuals at all. So that leaves you with Compustar, equally as good and maybe better in some areas.
