Yep, mine was about 500 installed. I like it. It comes in handy when youre in a hurry, or busy. For example I was late to work today, so while I combed my hair, I went ahead and hit the start button so that it can warm up.

I also like the "pager" feature. It's a little light on your windshield with a mini sticker that says "knock here to contact owner" (something to that extent). When people knock on it, it will page you letting you know someone is trying to get ahold of you for wuttever reason. For example the time me and a couple of the guys went out to a club, one of them was kicked out for being too drunk, we couldnt find him, so he went and knocked on my windshield which set off the page to my mini remote. Right then I already knew who it was...lol drunk bastard.

^ agreed...make sure that you go to an authorized Compustar dealer to have it installed. It's really tricky, especially if you want the remote start for a 6MT. I originally purchased a Compustar, but failed to go to a "knowledgable" Compustar installer. He ended being so frustrated that he gave me a discount on a Viper 791XV and installed that instead. No regrets here however, both the Compustar and Viper are great alarms.

I had a compustar on my sti. some good and some bad. first off the good:

its a great system. just enough sensitivity for u to keep a close eye on ure car without being constantly annoyed with sounds and horns. It gives great feedback and will work from a large distance (reasonably of course)

The bad: its expensive and my sti was stolen with that system in my car......lol

Funny now, not so funny before. I think the G is alot tougher to steal since it has a kill switch from the factory (sti's only got that on the 05 and up models, mine was an 04 ) add that to the compustar kill switch and u should be very well protected.

I recommend it good luck

my friend has compustar on his G he says its great
I went with the prestige that is similair but i told them not to hook up the remote start why?...

our cars will not start without the transponder chip sending a signal to ECU
so ...in order for the remote start to work they put the valet key or an extra transponder chip in the car ...which means there is always a transponder chip in ur car now
...so now ur car can be stolen as easy as a civic

my advice only get remote start if ur not to worried about getting ur baby stolen
