need some help RE: amp&sub installation

ok i have an 03 6spd coupe and i want to install a sub but keep the stock head unit...i have another aMp...and i was told that i can somehow add the amp i have to the amp that comes with the car anyone have any type of instructions or pics? any tips ? thanks this thread could probably exist but i don't have time to search through all those threads if anyone has the link to those threads then that'll help to thanx

well it definitely is possible, I have an amp with 2 subs w/ my stock bose system. I had it installed professionaly, but they have some sort of OEM harness type thing that wires into the original system.

you need an inline converter to tap the signal off the rear speakers, then you run power to your sub amp, run the rca from the converter to your sub amp and connect the sub to the amp with thick guage speaker wire. there is no oem harness, you want to spend some money on a good converter because you dont want one that gets all trash signal

Aftemarket goodies

If you want to add some amps but keep the OEM Deck look at using the JL system(CleanSweep® CL441dsp). Please check this out I believe this is what you are looking for. Please let me know if this works for you.

Try this.

I'm waiting on my amp power wire kit in the mail to do exactly what the above thread talks about. I'm adding Infinity amp and 10" sub in the 4080 box. Good luck.
