This spray is intended for spraying taillights so they have the same effect as to put overlays onto them. I was wondering if any1 has used this tint spray for their taillights, because i have a 06 and the indents in the new taillights make it very hard to put overlays on, almost impossible. If any1 has put overlays on there 06 coupe man props....Yea so any1 every use it?

this stuff is crap. just get overlays. its possible on your 06. its been done.

 

yeah vht is crap...i used them on my old 95 accord...when you spray onto the lights its a dull finish..at least with bats overlays they are very shiny and glossy...

 

I used the spray on my previous cars, but it's not easy. If you don't spray thick enough coats it will be dull, and if you spray too much it will drip. Basically I wouldn't try it on the G, unless you take the taillights out, and have a spare pair and you are very skilled in spray painting and you have done it before. I used Bat's overlays and I'm pretty happy. You could also try a tint shop to tint them. Good luck.

 

his overlays shouldnt be too hard to do. Just use a heat gun or blow dryer carefully to strecth it over the indents. Hopefully that will work out better than the spray. G/l

 

i had this on my 98 millenia, worked amazing. i dont know, i had a shiney finish to it. if you mess up u can use nail polish remover to take it off

Yea i had Bats overlays, and when i installed them there were many bubbles, and they didnt go away, i took my time also. perhaps i should try a tint shop, but the quotes i got were for $40-$50, which is also the same price for the Overlays.

vht is amazing if it is used properly...but i agree it takes some practice. It is very runny and blotches up if you use to much.

This is why prepping your lights is very important. Wetsanding your lights before and after is key. Also clear coating afterwards is a must.

A lot of very very light coats are needed to do this properly.

I will make a DIY on how to smoke clear corners.
