too much power for a 16 year old?
I think it's all about how mature this 16 yr old is. But my suggestions would be for him to get a Civic or something. He'll probably be a taxi driver for his friends and gas for the G isn't cheap!
I drove a Civic for 3-4 years before I learned stick on my RX-7 (FD). Now that car was fast, considering I had some nice bolt-on's and fuel management. The G is just quick enough to merge lanes without having the car sound like it's going to explode.

Btw, you meant your friend killed himself speeding in his parents car
Oh yea, and you don't speed or drive too stupid BECAUSE YOUR FVCKING PARENTS ARE IN THE CAR BECAUSE YOU'RE AN UNDERAGED YOUTH AND YOU DON'T OWN ****

you make it sound like no one on here has driven a car underage
Like everyone else said, depends on the kid. My first car was a 1990 Buick LeSabre hand me down from my grandparents and I got an exhibition of speed ticket in it (3600lb car with 165hp, what speed?!) got it thrown out it court. Then on my 18th birthday I got a brand new 98 Dodge Dakota club cab with 5.2L V8 and a 5 spd and that was a great truck, then a 03 4Runner (Not my style, the G wasn't out yet) and as soon as the G35 coupe came out and the waiting list was gone I got my 03.5 Coupe. I was driving for 10 years before I got the G and it is definately the quickest car I've owned but its not the fastest car on the market. If money is no problem get the G, however, a truck I feel will be the best bet as it will be very useful to own (moving to college, camping trips, tailgating, etc). Get a vehicle that will be fun for a few years until you entire the real world.

i think everyone here(or most here) learned to drive sometime before they were allowed to, and drove without a full license. even if his parents bought it for him, its his car. any kid with a job could buy this car and have it insured.

I honestly think that a truck is a great vehicle to learn on for multiple reaons: If you bump into something in reverse/idling forward you usually dont do any damage at all, they are big and do take some getting use to to drive but in the end i feel that it has made me a better driver, and I think that the truck saved my life (rear ended by some guy doing 50ish mph, the 6'bed crumpled and took the impact).
I'm not saying go out and buy a truck... but don't learn to drive on a G. I just bought mine this year, and im 22, hell sometimes I dont think i should own one now =P

True I can be very immature at times but I learned how to drive in the G!
If my brother hadn’t left for college I would be driving a 94 Honda prelude si
