Why not a nice exhaust that "amplifies" the sound of the stock exhaust?
Because there isnt one, as soon as you change the midpipe you rid yourself of the beautiful sound. The only way to enhance the sound, is to get MREV and a spacer, A/M intake, and Hi-flow cats, and MAYBE headers. Anything else after that, and you will mess with the stock tone.

Actually what I like best about the G's exhaust is that it sounds great with the windows down, but it's not at all obtrusive when the windows are up. I loved the sound of my 911 with the PSE option, but its exhaust sound can get on your nerves when you listen to it for long periods of time. Fortunately there was a switch on my 911 that enabled me to revert back to the stock exhaust which isn't nearly as loud.

"My fast makes it hard to have relationships" - VW Fast Rabbit. I understand the badly quoting of good movies, but commericals? WTF man WTF!

HAHA! I do the same thing! I love the stock exhaust note also, but like some have said, it just wasnt loud enough. My biggest regret is not getting highflow cats & headers before I got my Stillen catback. Dont get me wrong, I love my stillen but Im just so curious as to how it would of sounded with the stock muffler.

exhaust tone

Stock are the best but could use a little more deeper tone to it by adding hiflow cat or header (or intake and spacer but not that noticable). But once you added both header and hiflow cat it will be too much for stock exhaust system to handle and it sound all wrong at certain rpm. been there.

The stock exhaust note really defines the characteristic of the VQ35 engine. I always love sounds when i on my car...it really turns me on as well!

I agree. And our cars already sound pretty good. There's a Z in my garage and it sounds sickly. More vacuum cleaner sounding.

Thats why I went for the Greddy Sp2. It only changes the muffler. I have the stock sound but a little louder and deeper.

I couldnt imagine losing the stock sound
