The 05 interior is not exactly worlds better, as it has its issues too. There is even a TSB for rattles and problems in it.

Consider also that some have given the opinion that the 04 clutch is less problematic than the 05 clutch. Read up on this though because its just my impression from reading posts here. I do recall the 05 clutch had the dual-mass flywheel, an improvement.

The gauges are pushed back further and look better. I was offered 30k on a loaded 04 sedan OTD and turned it down mainly because of the interior.

Wow your crazy. We have both, a 03 coupe and a 06 sedan. And the interior is damn close to the same. I have a lot less rattles in my 03 coupe than I do in my 06 sedan. And a lot of the time, i dont know why, the 03 just feels like a more solid car. But that is just my outlook on things.

The Brembo setup stops no quicker than the standard setup when it comes to street use.

The standard setup on the 05+ is not better than the 03/04 standard setup. Both cars stop within 110' from 60'. The only real difference is the 05+ brakes don't tend to dust as bad.

The 05+ interior looks better, but the real alumninum trim dents and scratches very easily.

The 05+ interior rattle as bad if not worse than the 04 loaners I've had.

The titanium trim door pieces on the 03/04s can be removed and replaced in 30 seconds ($35 part). The shifter will take about 2 minutes ($60 part).

i think you're being too picky...you can change your speakers...alot of people go with infinity kappas and keep the stock hu here's a link https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...infinity+kappa

the silver door handle trim pops out easily so you can replace it yourself. i can't imagine it being an expensive piece...scratched up shift ****? good reason to get aftermarket or you can get an oem one for around $100 (search marketplace for better deals)

the g coupe you posted does have low miles but i think you can bring the price down to 26k...and as for waiting for an 05 to drop in price...i wouldn't, they aren't that much different from the 04...the 07 is gonna be a whole lot different...

oh yea and definitely get a 6mt...i've driven an 06 auto and i would pick my 03 6mt over that anyday...

I sat in a 05 and was not impressed with the change. Yes, it's better, but not world better. I'd take Brembo over improve interior any day. If interior is your main reason, then get a 07, cuz that seem to be world better than 1st gen G35.
+1...i dont think the differences are big enough that you'll have regrets...but personally i would rather have brembo's over an improved interior

Wow that's a whole lot to consider. I'm not set on this 04. Black is a good color - but for me, I'm not much of a fan of the Tan interior.

Down to the things I pointed out that turned me away. replacing parts like that is easy, I'm sure it is. I may be a bit tentative to do so b/c of the thought of popping panels or whatever off of a luxury car (as opposed to my 04 stratus - lol - yuck. don't get me wrong I've had fun learning with it but it's definately time for a more grown up car).

Anyways, I just felt like the wear seemed a bit excessive. To me that raises questions of who used the car previously. Another thing that raised my brow was a loose trim peices on the exterior (the side molding on the front left, it was bulged out and looked like some one didn't button the car back up properly). Engine compartment was extremely clean so I couldn't tell if parts had been replaced or if they just went ape $#!t with armorall.

I guess I am still considering it but saving the cash in time has to be a wise choice. but damn it's tempting.

I'll make a decision tomorrow night I guess. That's when I told the dealer I'd be back by.
