thurs - got G; mon - got hit

I know a lot of people vent their anger/frustration on this forum, and I know some people dont like it when people do that, but im gonna do it anyway

I have been wanting a G35 coupe for over a year now. Im in college (you can read that as: 'broke') and my wonderful parents said they were gonna save up and get me one for an early graduation gift...... after it was finally time, the dealer found me one like I wanted, I waited for it to come in, waited for them to put on the Aero package, and got my brand new '06 6MT Lakeshore/Stone fully loaded with everything except rear active steer THIS PAST THURSDAY........

....... monday afternoon, i got out of bio lab early, so i went to show my buddy who loves G's my new car...... i go to take him for a ride and in his parking lot, a guy in an old jetta backs slam the F into me, i swerved but couldnt get away, he said he missed the brake pedal

hit me in the right rear side, dented up and scratched the fender pretty bad as well as the part of the rear bumper that wraps around on the side.... and scratched the siht outta my wheel

i was teary-eyed on the phone with my parents

BUT: thank goodness for:
1)everyone's ok
2)the guy stopped and completely admitted he was at fault to the popo
3)it wasnt my fault
4)that i have you cool fellas (and girls) that can show some sympathy

i'll post the pics later, once i get them off my friend's camera

thanks for listening guys

Sorry to hear that man. Unfortunately, some people do not know how to drive. Like someone said above, the G will be fine. That's what insurance is for after all. Post pics when you can.

my apologies everyone, sorry for the neglect of this thread but as a college student my life is hectic and i just havent had time

as for the status, the guys insurance appraised it at $2,109 for fixing bumper, quarter panel, and REPLACING the wheel

the wheel has some pretty good scratches and one spot on the outer edge that looks like curb rash (but from accident)

I will be taking it in on monday to have it fixed; and the body shop said i can have the old wheel.... and now im saying that one of you can have it.... just PM me with an offer or whatever

anyway the pics i promised a long time ago are attached

glad you ok man, but just make sure that whoever fixes it doesnt just slap some bondo on it, and repaint... I hate it when shops try to be cheap to pocket money...
