Painting my grill black right now, I need help!

Hey! So... im sitting here sanding my grill... and its taking FOREVER to sand all the way down to the black plastic. Is it even necessary to sand that far down if im going to be using black primer? THanks!

ive been sanding for an hour straight at a furious rate, and there is no way in hell I can get all the way to the black... ill just try to sand the clear coat off, and if it doesnt turn out good, Ill just buy some paint stripper

^you mean Jesus used paint stripper

now stop putting rock chips in HIS Grill

anyway...using the paint stripper is a good idea..but since you already sanded it down your already good to go.

Did you plan on making the grill matt Black or Glossy Black?

if you do it right and yourself you just feel better about it, then you can take that extra money and buy a nice bottle of bourbon

I used Krylon paint. Black primer, Semi-Gloss Black, and clear coat finish. I sanded it down with 320 grit, then 1500 grit. Wasnt hard at all.
