Lexus Owner

Hey guys I am new to the forums, I usually just stay to Club Lexus. However I am currently driving a 2006 IS250, I got it back in May, have had it 6months and i have 10k miles on it.My problem with this car is its Acceleration, and horsepower. It doesnt do it for me, maybe i should have gotten a 350 but i went for the awd instead. I didnt consider getting the G35 coupe back when i was car shopping, but now i am thinking i should trade my car in and possibly pick up a used g35 coupe. Maybe a 2005 or 2006 depending on how much i get for my car. Any suggestions? Think this is a good idea??????

the G35 Coupe is definately faster than an IS250, not faster than an IS350 however. If I were you i'd just get the new G35 Sedan, its right on par pricing wise with the IS250 with the same power as the IS350

Do it.

If you, yourself arn't happy with the purchase then trade in.

Big Loss. You gotta look down the road and see what is beneficial for you.

My .02 is that the G35 (especially COUPE) just looks better no matter how fast or not fast it is...

But for you, it seems that speed is a deciding factor.

Test drive a used G Coupe and also test drive the New G Sedan.
See if either meet your needs for speed and then go with the one you can afford..

Don't get an IS350, get the 2007 G35 Sedan, definately more bang for your buck! IS350 starts at what $36k? G35 Sedan starts @ 32k, no brainer! Plus you don't feel cramped in the G35 Sedan like you would in the IS

my guy had the awd 250 and im planning on getting the new G. not for nothing but the new G has 300 plus hps which is about 100 more hps than his 250 guess we'll be using my car often when going out

Ur also asking a lot of G owners.

I would go to a forum like Acura TL owners or something and ask them there preferences and what not.

I think i would give u the best opinion seeing how i own a G.. see sig, and my my occupation is a certified lexus technician i see and drive IS's all day long.. i too debated which one to buy(G or is350) and the deciding factor for me was the no MT in the IS(but the nav is far better in the IS). Although i think the IS interior is classier, and pulls harder, i think the body style is better on the G. After buying and owning the g for awhile im very glad i bought it. its just such a rare car. get soo many looks! i just love looking at the car. The IS is just too much of a "common" looking car. I love the sporty/luxury look of the G. Every time i wash it, or park it.. i stare at it as i walk away.. The IS has sharp looks but if they made it with a little bit of a wider stance, or sporty look, w/ a MT i prob would have bought it.. BUT they didnt. so i didnt, and here i am with a SICK G35.. good luck bro. imho stay clear of the sedan, just too much of a family lookin car. Go either Coupe if u like the MT or IS350 if u dont mind the AT.. good luck bro

IS350 is a great car if u don't mind about the handling. It is a better all around car than the G35, besides the lazy steering feel and the handling. If u don't mind about those two things then i say go for the IS350. At the end of the day it is better built, and u won't have any problems such as squeaks and rattles. And looks is subjective. If i was you I would go for the new 335 sedan.
Good Luck.
