rattle in g35
I paid $36,000 for my fully loaded G35 Sedan. It has everything except for XM Radio and AWD. I had a nissan altima and a toyota camry prior to this new car. I drove the altima 80k miles in 3 years and had 110k on my 7 year old camry. My altima and camry went to the dealer only for oil change and regular servicing - no rattle, no brake issues, no issues at all. Just paid the monthly payment and nothing else. After paying $36k for a G35 [Provided it is a different class from the other two mentioned here]. But after paying that kind of money I did not expect a new rattle discovery every freaking day. One goes away and another comes back. I am planning on fixing the trunk and mirror rattles myself. But, the rear right side window rattles, the dash rattles. The beauty of the G35 lies in its horsepower. You will probably not get 280+ hp in any car in its class. The handling is great. Even though with RWD, when taking a sharp turn the car slides to the right. The interiors scratch easily. The blinkers do not turn off after a right or left curve turns. The dash looks good but is distracting. So, there are several issues with the car. Also, I have not heard of any G35 having over 90K miles. So we will see its longevity.
I wish that the rattles were not as bad as they are. Every car would rattle a little bit...but the G35 has taken it to the next level.
If given a choice now, I would have settled for a low end car for another year or so and bought myself a used 2005 or 2006 Chevy Corvette....after all we are all pursuing one common goal---the need for speed.

The G looks expensive outside but cheap inside. I have never experienced rattle accept for squeaky brakes! Maybe you ll experience more road noise at high speed? The G is like nothing else on the street; its distinct look will turn many heads! If you just want a fast straight forward car, definitely get the IS350, but if you want a perfect blend of handling and speed get the G coupe. Oh ya, one last thing, one of the reason i bought the G is because the exhaust note is so damn sexy! rev up the engine beside an IS, you ll see which one catches your attention!
