there is a tab. pull that tab (gently) and the plastic dome cover should pop off. the tab is closet to you. the plastic dome is still connected on the other side. when you look at it closely it will all make sense. sorry im not very good at describing this.

^^thanks

btw, if you got the LED from superbrightleds like that one guy posted then the LED is going to be a little too big. if you use some force, carefully, the cover will snap back on.

i was amazed by how big that LED that that one guy posted he got is. i ended up taking it out. it created a very nice spotlight effect. but i think im going another route. i recently fell in love with amber lights, lol.

Thanks.. your instructions couldnt be put better.. I broke the tab still .. grrr.... the LED for the trunk was a waste... it is much to big.. and I noticed when putting it in after putting it in and taking it out a couple of times trying to compare the brightness that if I put it in all the way it dosent light up.. you have to pull it out some.. but the original when going in snug works fine...
ok.. so scratch that LED off the list..

Thanks guys..

Chris

im talking about the one that that one guy posted that he got from superbright leds. any 168/194 bulb should fit. but that particular one that he said he got was a lil too big and i really had to use some force to shut the plastic cover

Hey,

I read your comment from years ago. I bought new bulbs for my 2008 G35 from Rock Auto, as the original one inside the trunk burned out.

I can feel plastic dome and the tab. Do I have to pull the tab vertically, toward the floor of the trunk, or horizontally? I don't want to break anything.

Fred

Did you end up pulling the tab on the dome of the trunk lamp vertically, toward the trunk floor, or horizontally? I feel like I am going to have to climb in to make it work
