After getting my coffee, a cop...

This morning:

After getting my coffee, at Dunkin Donuts, I walk back to my car and rolled my windows down (don't know who, but it's cold outside). It's a red light, and I'm waiting to get on the road to go to work. A cop two lanes down, is like "Hey man..." I'm nervous now, thinking he just busted me for tint or the clear corners or something. Then he's like "Is that the real Skyline from Japan???" I'm like, 'umm yes it is, but its the same thing as G35.' He's like, 'That's a really really sweet ride, absoutely love it. I love those wheels too.' And he's like, "i like that light tint on your windows too." (I have 35% tint, and I'm in PA, ugh) I'm thinking to myself that I'm screwed. He just laughs and gives the look as not to worry. Then finally he's like, "How fast does that thing go?"

My response: "Sixty-five, that's it", with a big grin on my face

Just thought I'd share...Don't feel like being at work.

Ha ha, agreed. Police like that give them all good names. When the day ends we are all just guys at work trying to feed our families. However, I cant help but suspect he confused you with an off-duty cop…you know, you DID just leave the donut stand…

lol that makes no sense to me. so you told him that you rebadged a nissan skyline to a nissan skyline?

how hard is it to say "no its a g35, but its the same as a skyline. so i rebadged it with jdm - nissan/skyline/350gt - emblems" that cant take more than a few seconds longer than what you said to him lol

dont get me wrong, im down for rebadging and all. but to actually call it an authentic skyline is another story.

anyway, not trying to start an argument here. i just thought it was funny you claimed it as an authentic skyline...

no no, i did not claim it as an authentic skyline. first of all it was a stupid question, because the way i have it rebadged is that i kept the infiniti logo. but he asked me if it was a skyline, i said "No, it's a G35, I just have it rebadged as a skyline since it's practically the same thing"
