Help!!! Installing Short Shift Now!!

Hey guys, i'm right in the middle of installing my B&M short shift and it seems to not have any guide plate to go into 5th and 6th gear. Can anyone tell me if I need to put on the stock shift plate or should i use the blue one it came with? thanks
