tweak the ecu and check my rear view for those e46 m3's.
You may not even have to do that. From what the BMW dealership told me the stock 335i will give a stock E46 M3 a run for its money. This may be my next car too.

THANK YOU!! Both cars are slow. get over it people. 330hp in a pig heavy car = slow.

i'll still take my G though.

M3 is not in the G35 range.

M3 has 333HP, G has about 300.

That's what probably throws people off is that the G only has 30 less HP.

We all know about weight differential, except that the M3 is CRAZY EUROTUNED.

We need to shut M3 threads down. Period.

UNLESS A G BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER

The '08 G35 coupes should be very similar in terms of straight line performance to the E46 m3, but then again by 2008, I'm sure the M3 will have like 400hp.

And yes, the 335i gives the E46 a good run for the money.

I hear you. I also owned a Porsche and there's a pecking order in the Porsche family. Hardly any die hard Porsche owner will acknowledge a Boxster. Many of the guys with the air cooled engines believe that the water cooled engines are garbage. In addition the guys who own Porsche GTs believe that they have the only "real" 911s.

The main thing is that you own a car that you like and the hell with what others think, unless of course they are willing to help you with the purchase price.

Of course an M3 beats a G35, and if you get above 80mph then the M3 really takes off! It is scary when I stomp on the gas on the freeway.

I agree P. Diddy, I use to own a e46 m3 coupe before owning my FI G35 and that car in the highway is crazy fast. Not many cars under 100k will beat it 80-150 mph. Since owning both cars I will say I miss many things about the M3 but love my G. And when both FI, there is once again no comparing the two:

A good friend of mine just got his m3 back from active autoworks with a stage 3 sc with flywheel, clutch, etc. and I wouldn't even think about racing him. That is the fastes car Ive ever been in. he has a stock 911 turbo and says the m3 is much faster, 500+ rwph
