I'm probably way off but....

my girlfriend just totalled her Subaru STI, someone hit us head on. We're o.k., boy did that Sub hold up well. not even a scratch on either of us, airbags went off and all. O.K. question is this. She's going to get a new car and part out this one cause they're letting her keep it. Can her brembos by anyway fit on my 06' coupe??? I figured I'd ask, but I'm almost sure they cannot. thanks.

Sorry to go off topic, but your girlfriend had an STi? I was previously trying to talk my girl into taking over my STi for months? Did you have to talk her into it?

She actually decided on the STI way before I even went out with her. It's funny cause she always busts on me because her car is faster. Meanwhile I tell her when we roll up to a club, I'd rather be in a G, then her electric blue shopping cart winged-STI anyday.. Yep she wanted that car all herself.

Why does she get to keep a total loss car? (good for her)

I don't know thats what geico decided. it was 100% not her fault. $17,400 in damage with out even looking at the engine bay yet. which im sure is tweeked. some guy who owns nissan near the body shop wants to buy it and make it into a drift car. We are wondering how much she could get rid of it for. its an 04'. hey does anyone know if I could get her brembos on my 06' G-coupe somehow???

yeah, does the insurance cover the damages 100% and will she get credited for it so she can get something new tho? by the way I doubt the brembos are the same size

I heard somewhere that the STI brakes will actually fit on the G35 coupe, not sure about the 06 model. I heard that they will fit the 03-and 04 models...forget where i heard it though.

I'm about 99% sure they wont fit. Only way to be sure is to try it. I remember someone asking about it last year and a bunch of people saying it wouldnt fit.

Just to give you curious guys out there a quick update as far as what exactly happened with insurance companies and what scumbags they are. We were driving and a person from the otherside of the highway tried to avoid hitting someone on her side of traffic, and she swerved into oncoming traffic, no where for us to go but hit, so she basically creamed us almost head on, thank god we were a subaru because if we were a mac truck she would've been dead. my g-friend assumes that because it was no fault on her behalf that the other drivers insurance company is 100% at fault. NOPE! The other insurance company says that since their driver was trying to avoid an unidentified car, which wasn't even hit, and just continued on in traffic. That it was only 30% there clients fault. So, they want my gfriend to go through her insurance company (geico) for the rest, so her rates can sky rocket. It just goes to show you that even if your just driving down the road and you have no idea your about to get plowed by someone from oncoming traffic, your still going to get screwed. Now my girl has been without a car, needs to scrub rides, etc. truly all she wants was for this not too happen. To conclude this mess. She will get the $$$ to pay off the loan, a wash out basically. And she gets to keep the mangled car. Thats why I wanted to ask you guys before it goes should I try to get the brembo's and throw them on my 06' if they fit.
