How to determine if its Authentic
For those of you guys who own an authentic Nismo Front Bumper for the G35 Coupe. I just wanted to check with you to see how you can tell whether or not its authentic or whether its just a knock off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

lucky you i found this thread.. real nismo only comes in fiberglass.. unfortunately.. it also comes predrilled with license plate holes.. however, if you're buying it 2nd hand.. the owner may have filled it in and repainted the bumper. As far as fitment, it is of course, not 100% and u will still get some areas that are not perfect. However, it is still hella better than the fake bumpers and the chances of it not being a good fit is very rare. And lastly, there should be a imprint on the inside with the nismo logo.
They come with a certificate of authenticity and have a NISMO label stuck to the back side... ...I think with the serial # written in pencil.
I'd actually say the fit is going to be a key indentifying factor. After removing the additional foam supports needed for the OEM urethane bumper near the corners (they slide right off and aren't needed for the more-rigid fiberglass), the authenic NISMO fits like OEM. I was pleased but my bodyshop was completely impressed! All of the replicas thus far have fitment issues, ableit some are small and can be addressed. But my authentic NISMO didn't require any of that... ...only the removal of those foam supports. Do some searching. I posted after install and have posted pics of the foam supports.
Authentic or not, it's fiberglass and will get chips much more easily since impacts aren't absorbed as well.
FWIW, and for whatever reason, the OEM fit of the authentic NISMO front bumper does not extend to the authentic NISMO rear diffuser. If you're interested in that piece, save yourself time, money and grief by purchasing the KarumaZ replica NISMO rear diffuser.
