Road Hazard Tire and Wheels Coverage

I am about to buy a 2006 Coupe MT with 19in wheels. Do you think that this insurance is worth it($475)?

Sounds like a good price, I believe the 6MT is more expensive on the insurance than the auto? Not sure tho.

Does this include wheel damage? If so it may be worth it.

You can buy just the tire coverage from Discount Tire for ~$60.

I think the OEM wheels are $950-1000 from dealer and the tires are 273. Thats about 1100 if you blow a tire and ruin a rim. I guess it depends on the roads you drive.

I live in NJ. Our roads stink so I got this protection. It will only cover a damaged rim if it can't hold air. Comestic damage is not covered. Eitherway, I felt it was worth the money.

i got it on my 05 and i think the dealer said it does cover curb rash. and there's no deductible so i thought it was a good idea.

I'd just go for the tire pkg like ttrank mentioned. It's about $40 at Just Tires. Well worth it!

It all comes down to how hard you are on your car and the chances of hurting a wheel. If I could get it for mine for a few hundred bucks and it would fix any damage (even rash), I would get it.

I'm pretty sure curb rash is not covered because the curb is supposed to be there.

Don't forget that the price on the insurance is negotiable.
