When to put on the snows?

Northeast winters arent the worst but better safe than sorry

LI, NY here. I am going to wait till the first forecast of snow. It’s supposed to be 60 next week.

Just put mine on today... any day below 50 I was loosing traction... Even though the weather forecast is good for the next four days, it was time.

Yeah, for sure now's the time.....It'll cost a little wear on warm days but if it gets colder and snows unexpectedly, you'll be glad you switched.

We're a tad north (southern Ontario) of you guys, and I've noticed a lot of cars have changed already from All season tires. --- Our OEM summer rubber is not good in temps much below 50 at all.

+1...manufacturers state that under 45 degrees, summer tires should not be used.

I just dropped a $1K on M3's a month ago and still no snow? NH here>

Don't feel bad. I got the same tires, same price, almost a month ago too. I had to do it that early though...my summer rear tires were bald.

It should be mid 60's here through Thursday and predicted to get cold and snow Thursday night, so the winters setup goes on Thursday afternoon.

Mine were just put on Thanksgiving morning while it was warm and sunny out. Its only a matter of time when it will get cold again and just wanted to get it out of the way.
