i like the alpine beter but that decision is based all on astectics

my buddies got a garmin and loves it, ive never heard anything about alpine navi's but their HU are alright.

ide go with garmin...

I have the Nuvi and also the Alpine IVA-W200 DD HU, I think I'm going to trade-in the Nuvi for the Black Bird because I can have the Black Bird hidden but plugged into the HU and use the Navi from the HU. When I need to use the Navi in wife's car I can just use it as a stand alone.

Get the Nuvi, it is the best. Garmin's customer service is top notch compared to most other GPS manufacturers and their GPS products are simply superior. I know this because I am tech manager for gpscity.com, one of Garmin's biggest dealers. If you are looking for a place to buy we also have some of the lowest prices online. I vote for a DD with a Eclipse deck but between those two I pick the Alpine.

Garmin Nuvi is really handy
i think it works better than
my OEM navi on my 05 G35c.
