Here's the situation, I want something that will fit like a glove, were the OEM navi goes. I've heard good things from Garmin, but Alpine is known for quality as well. Asthetically the Alpine is much superior, not saying the nuvi isn't.

The Alpine will fit more flushly, as for features, they both are equally the same.

Do I really need all the bells and whistles? No. Just something simple to guide me from place to place and help me find food and what not.

My choices are these two.

Or

If anyone has pics of there aftermarket Handheld GPS in that cubby, please post.

Thanks,

Nick

I'm acutally in a similar situation. I just took a look at a handful over at BestBuy and Circuit City. I decided to get the Garmin Nuvi 360 (the one pictured on the bottom) - just seems like a really solid machine.

It is, but the look of the alpine looks so much better. And apline does make good headunits.

Go with the first one. If you want anything bigger go with a DD HU.

Alpine makes a good navi like in Acuras.. but for most after-market Garmin is the best IMO. If the Nuvi does not have all the features you want, they have other models.
