Funny Story... MY CLUTCH WENT ON ME! A MUST READ! lolol

Well my clutch has been shytty and i havent driven my car for almost a month now because theres was a shipping mishap with my clutch and Jim Wolf Technology. So after i finally get my clutch i call the shop im bringing it to for them to do the labor and he told me to bring it on over Saturday. Well i wake up this morning and drive my car to work for the first time in a month lol (i missed it way to much) and figured ill drop it off at the shop on my lunch break since its only like 10mins away from my job lol (BAD IDEA) I call the shop ALL FREAKIN DAY and no answer... stupid me thinks "They are just busy" So i tell my dad to follow me to the shop while i drop off my car (I work with my father) so he follows me to the shop... *Keep in mind my car is BARELY going into gears at this moment...* Every red light im at i have to over rev my baby and pray it will catch in 1st lol.

On the way to the shop i decide its a nice day outside so i open my windows and sunroof and turn on my radio(and my system too ) simply because i havent in so long and i pass a cop in the other lane. The cop is at a full stop in between traffic and at a red light so as i make the turn i hear the cop yell out "Wheres your front license plate!" At this point im shytting my pants because my father warned me 1000000 time to take my front plate off my dash and attach it to the front of my bumper ( GAY NJ LAW ) so as im driving away casually the cop turns on his sirens and follows me about 15scs after i pass him! haha! I pull over and the cop is giving me attitude and whatnot and my father, i have no idea what he was thinking lol, gets out of the car and the cops starts yelling at him to get back in. Im laughing my a$$ off ( in my head obv. ) thinkn my poor father has no idea whats going on and why im getting pulled over and why he just got yelled at from these 2 cops lolol. They finally let me go because im honestly the most respectful person when it comes to cops and my cousin is real well known in the local sheriff dept. so thank god for that.

...Well anyways i pull away and my fathers calls me asking why i got pulled over so i told him because my radio was to loud and not because of the front plate lol and he asked why he got yelled out so i started to laugh and explained he cant do what he did lol....

Back to my story...I FINALLY get to the shop after all of that and BAMM hes closed so i look at my dad and apologize for putting him through all of that lol. I begin to pull of of the lot and BAMM again i push my clutch to go into 1st and it doesnt want to come back up... It was there i knew my OEM clutch died on me ( R.I.P. 2003-2006 52xxxmiles ) So my father who is pretty pissed that he is gone from his business for so long leaves me and goes back to work lol so im stuck now in ghettoville with my baby and her 20inch shoes and ONE BIG PROBLEM... no wheel locks lol so im like HELL NO IM KEEPING HER HERE OUTSIDE - OVERNIGHT. NOWAY. So i call my cousin who picks me up 2hrs later and get a Triple A truck to tow to my grandmothers house which is pretty close to the shop and will hopefully retow it to the shop Monday morning . Whatta day haha Had to share my lovely story! SORRY IF ITS SO LONG! lolol

your story gets sort of confusing with the whole mishap between your dad and the cop etc. all that work for a clutch. if i were you, i would've continued calling until they picked up to confirm that they knew you were coming. the part about the front plate, thats a bad place to put it if you were to be in an accident :knock on wood: that piece can potentially kill you or your passanger. but that does sound like a hectic day for you. cant believe your dad just left you hanging out like that. pretty funny.

LOL, funny story, 03BB, Sucks about your clutch and towing and all, but if you'd left it at the shop, it might have been jacked.....

That shop was probably closed for the Thanksgiving.

G/L with repairs and having the G back on the road again.....

Good story but just one question???
Why would you decide to spend $ on 20's and tires and not on wheel locks to secure them?
