Re: Lost to a Diablo

Sorry to break it to ya kid, but our "skyline" isn't anywhere near as potential as our older R34 gt-r skyline with it's iron block and stronger internals. We'd have to do thousands of engine work to be able to support 25lbs of turbo boost which the gt-r skyline could do out of the box.

I am too plagued by these lambo's... My office is right next to a major lambo dealer here in orange county, so I see/hear them all day long. And believe me they rip it hard going down this stretch of street where the office is.. I don't think they even get out of 1st gear and they're doing 80mph in like 5 seconds.

Re: Lost to a Diablo

All i got to tell you guys is we are driving the NEW SKYLINE!!!!!

Even if you were to mod up a diablo or a mucielago it would never reach the peak potential of our coupe...

I BET MY *** the greddy TT coupe would smoke that diablo...
The old Skyline reached 1050 HP with nos..
I bet soon enough our G's will be at 700 HP.. enough to leave that diablo sucking taillights.. have faith my friends..
the coupe will own all cars...

hahaha, are you high? Seriously, are you?

Or did you just find out that the G is "the new skyline", and you're on a mission to tell the whole world how great "the new skyline" is.

Continuing with what the guys above me said:
Do you know ANYTHING about the previous generation "Skyline"? Do you know it has NOTHING in common with this generation other than the name?
Do you know what "RB26DETT > VQ35DE" means?

Don't get me wrong, I love my "G", but it's no R34. Even with "700hp" or in your fantasy world "1000hp with naws", the RWD G35 has no chance against the Lambo's AWD. You might as well buy a Lambo or two if you're stupid enough to drop enough money into the G35 to make it "smoke" the Murci. We'll keep praying for the R35 or what ever it will be called to be a monster, but not with a VQ.

Time to wake up. And get ready to hand over your ***.

Re: Lost to a Diablo

Did the older Z's have "VQ" engines?

Just womndering... If so I heard that some people were able to get 800 HP out of those engines... Just wondering if it were a VQ

Re: Lost to a Diablo

Most mechanics and tuners are saying the VQ35DE is probably good up to 650HP, possibly 700HP...Narkotic and Mozy, I'm totally with you- that "new Skyline" post was hilarious...RB26DETT, VQ35DE...Hmmm...No, not at all the same potential...

And yes, you can tune a Diablo, and no, it's not because you have to, as evidenced by the Diablo SVTT and VTTT, also called SuperDiablo...Both are running in excess of 750HP with custom turbocharger set-ups...Tuning isn't done because you have to, it's done to truly make your car your own...
