sure sounds shady and glad u got out of it and take ur money else where. however, what i dont understand is why would anyone get an 07 now? i mean, 08 redesign is around the corner, will be a much better car, and the price wont be that much different, i assume, compare to the 1st gen. i mean, look at the sedan, its priced bout the same as the older models and u get alot more toys with it too..
screw the 07s.. wait for an 08!!

The amount of the deposit is set by the dealer. $500 seems to be the standard. I had a friend do that with the IS350. He put the deposit down before the first IS350 even his US shorline. That amount was set by the dealer, that is what THEY REQUIRE to hold the car. So for this stealership to sell the car when he put a deposit down is crap. I am glad he got his $$ back. Take it somewhere else.

happened to me too when i bought mine at metro infiniti here in cali. we had already agreed on a price for this particular car and they sold it while i was on my way there...the reason? someone else they hustled was willing to pay more than me...anyways i raised hell and got the same ride with my 2nd color choice with navi for $1000 more so i guess i kinda got a deal??

So, anyhow, my brother put down a $500 deposit for a 2007 G35 Coupe, the salesman told him to come down to the dealership about 4 times, this place is a good 20 minutes away. So, as he is about to purchase the car, they tell him, they just sold the car an hour ago, because they had to get it from one of their sister dealerships. So, OK, pretty pissed right there. Now, not only did this happen once, but yes people, guess again, twice!!!!! He goes down there today as he was asked to come in yet again, this being around the 5th time, as he was ready to sign papers (which they were asking more money for the second car), and close the deal, he tells us, he has just a slight, slight, very slight problem, they sold the car yet again, one hour ago. This is just about the biggest problem you can get as he was saying the slightest, not to mention, this was all with a $500 deposit down. Needless to say, he demanded the $500 back, as he has given them one to many chances, being dragged around only to be lied to one after another. He will no longer be purchasing the car from them and move on to another dealership. What do you guys think about this...?
Ha! Someone I know is going through the same thing with Coconut Creek Infiniti and some other dealers in the area too like Warren Henry Infiniti and Sawgrass Infiniti. So what he did is close the deal anyway for the car that is not there yet, but he had them give him a loaner until he got the new car. Either way he has been driving a G35 since late last night. Now in order for the dealer to get their loaner back they have to give him his car. Off course, at this point he is driving the loaner for free.

May be your brother should try that.

COCONUT CREEK INFINITI IS THE WORST DEALER IN SOUTH FLORIDA!!!!!!! Sorry about your brother but go to Sawgrass. They are the nicest people and are up front about what they can do for you. Besides the fact that when I went to cc and the car salesman arguing about how much horsepower my 05 TL had they called me 4 times for a car I wanted which was DG with Sirius and when I got there they had a DG with XM. They dragged me out of work early for something they could of looked on the roof to make sure it was sirius. They are by far the worst and shadiest dealership in the world. #1 my ***!!!! They are #1 in BULL****!

+1 about the experience with the sales people at CC Infiniti. I ultimately got my car from Infiniti of Palm Beach. I have heard good things about Sawgrass and it's about the same distance from us in Boca to either place. The good thing is that there is always another dealer/sales person who wants your brothers money, and I'm sure he'll get into a car of his choice soon.

Btw, I think I've seen you near St. Andrews and Glades a few times.

I had to put $500 deposit for my Athens blue G at Infiniti of Montclair, they told me they would hold the car for 48 hrs. The car came in like a thursday and I had no ride over there so I had to go the next day, I had a feeling they would sell the car from under me, but they didn't they held the car for me. When I got there someone wanted to buy the car lol but they told em it was being held for me.

Your brother should go to another dealer 2 times is too many. They clearly care more about money (of course which stealership doesn't lol) then customer satisfaction.

That sucks for your brother but on the flipside, I have been the person that was standing there with the money and wanted the car that someone else had put a deposit on. My G was on the showroom floor with some dealer installed options that don't come from the factory and it was the last black 6MT with a tan interior they would have for about a week. I wanted that car and had my checkbook in hand. They told me that soemone had left a deposit on it so they could go look at other cars and decide if they wanted it. They were willing to hold the next one they got or look at transfering one from another dealership. I said, "I'm here, I want it and I have my checkbook open and ready". The manager looked at the sales guy and said "If you want to sell a car now or MAYBE later, you decide." He picked the NOW choice.

i would have raised hell the first time, well in a most diplomatic and polite as possible manner.....

make everyone in the showroom notice what shady people work there....

costa mesa infiniti in socal held mine with a mere $500 for at least a week and an half... the internet salesguy was downright cool...

Agree 100%, that is the way to do it. Money talks, BS walks.

thats who i always try to deal with when i buy cars.... they get better incentives for selling more cars... they get to the bottom price but its harder to get them to throw in stuff cuz they dont make anythign directly off the sale.. i either deal with the internet sales manager or the fleet manager.. that is if i cant deal with the general manager...
