I was driving my 2003 G35 coupe (only has 28,000 miles) yesterday, and all the suddent I heard a lound clunk sound. Immediately, I knew something was broken because the car veer to one side and almost hit the coming traffic. I was shocked when I got off the car and saw my left rear wheel looked like almost coming off. (forgot to take that pic). Here are some pics taken at the dealer after the car was lifted off. I did not hit anything all all. The tech seemed to agree with me and he had no idea how that happen. Anyone know what is that structure? any similar case?

looks like your camber arm snapped off.

was it rust?
or just strain?

either way, hopefully infiniti will cover it. Lucky this did not result in a accident

No mods at all, and no passenger or heavy objects.
I am still waiting the dealer to call me back to see if this under warranty.

I'm willing to assume something like that would be covered under warranty. I'd actually be shocked if it were not.

If its not covered, you should contact Infiniti headquarters and file a complaint.

+1

They should be thankful, no one got hurt, or they could of really been paying some big bucks

Are you the original owner? Looks like someone tried to fix the camber by cutting and welding. These bars don't just break like this. Not this clean of a break and not n the middle. It would've failed at the ends or at welded connection first.

It's possibly one of the cleanest breaks I've seen. Could be a manufacture's defect in the production that was used to make that lower camber arm.

its a 30 dollar part. it shouldnt be too difficult. only takes 1/2 a minute to instal as well (with lift and power tool). If they dont cover it, at least split the differnce and ask them not to charge for labor or what not. its a very cheap part.
