Which bumper to get?

I have an 06 coupe with the non-sport bumper and just added the OEM front lip. While driving today on the freeway following a pickup loaded with debris, a 2x4 flew out and with cars on both sides of me I the board, causing damage to my bumper and front lip. To say the least I was pretty pissed off. I couldn't even try to caught the truck because there was some horrible sounds under the car which happen to be half of the front lip and part of the under motor cover dragging.

My insurance is going to cover the damage under the comprehensive coverage and not collision, I got lucky there.

I'd like to stay with the OEM bumper although I'm torn between the non-sport with the front lip or the 06 sport bumper. I know that there is a sport bumper lip available on this forum although I believe it would not be covered because it's not OEM.

I would like your opinions on which bumper you would go with non-sport/front lip or 06 sport bumper.

Thanks for any input it's much appreciated.

EDIT: I must have missed it when I did my search but I just found a poll that most ppl like the 06 sport bumper.

If I were to go to an aftermarket bumper which one would be your preference? If you do like the non-sport with lip please let me know also.

if you have plans on getting an aftermarket lip, then non sport for sure.

but if you plan on keeping it plain and simple then the sport for sure.

personally, i'd get the sport. and if and when i ever decided that i want a lip or aftermarket bumper i can sell it because there is usually quite a high demand for the sport bumper (provided that it's in good condition) so it shouldn't be too difficult to sell.

Get a kuruma front bumper. As a matter of fact, APR just released their widebody. GO big or Go home. LOL

Thanks for the input. I was looking at some of the aftermarket bumpers and I wanted one that blended well with the stock lines of the car. IMO, most aftermarket bumpers look best if you complete them with aftermarket side skirts and rear bumper, the Nismo being the exception although I don't like design of the lip.

I like the non-sport with lip because it gives a lower profile look but I like the clean lines of the sports bumper, just wished it was a little lower in profile although I'm leaning towards the sports bumper.

What do you think of the Gialla or SP grille look? The body shop (he's done tons of work for me) would paint the grille for free since they have to do the bumper and install it. Would you change or would you keep the stock grille? Again, I like both looks, if I didn't have this opportunity I wouldn't even think of changing out the grille.

Again, your input would be much appreciated. Your input helped me on my decision to get the sport bumper.

most people love the gialla grille. others think it takes away from the classy/luxury look.

i guess this is when you decide what you want your car to be? classy/luxury or more on the sporty side?

I would definately go for the 06 sport bumper... IMO, its a perfect fit for the coupe (obviously); not only does it show aggresiveness, it keeps the classy G35 look just as it should be. Afterall the coupe is Sporty and Classy.
