I'm basing this on the myrid of testing and research people have posted on the net thus far.

Do you think they are good?

Okay the normal fram is garbage. Then they offer a double guard that's also garbage. Then they offer what? Extra guard? According to this site, the extra guard is garbage also. Is this the same as x2?

Fram X2 is "fram's top of the line oil filter" it can easily be used for 10k miles but the longest i ever had it on for was 6k.

X2 is much better then any other filter fram offers and the price tag of $12 proves that.
that link that i showed you has the X2 taken apart. Its not like the other frams which i agreed with you were crap.

Is the X2 on the link I provided? In reality, I would not choose a filter maker that has to up their quality x1, x2 or x3 to finally get a decent filter.

Exactly what is the X2?? Double guard? Extra guard?? What p/n are you using so we can confirm the series.

Oh the X2 isn't on the list of fitlters they took apart but is mentioned below on your test. Thus the confusion. Still wouldn't buy the X2. Seems to be more reliable options out there for $12

X2 is not on the links you provided. The X2 is on the link that i provided. It comes in a sealed can like coke can. With a plastic lid on top of that. It's all a marketing gimic as far as packaging goes. But it is a better filter then the other tough guard stuff they make.

I have used amsoil for years. Now ended up switching to Royal Purple. Seems to me that the car is behaving much better and i noticed a few extra miles that i get per 1 tank. about 10 extra miles. not much but still good.

Personally i would not feel safe leaving oil in my engine for 20k. I know what amsoil claims but i still like to do my oil changes at least 5k-7k miles.

Besides for someone like me who does track and autoX events in the summer 5k is just about right.

IMHO I think that is a mistake. I haven't read any data that shows Royal Purple is a quality oil. mpg improvement is not a tell tale sign that it's better. Thinner maybe.

Unless you have been closely comparing oil analysis results for Amsoil vs Royal Purple.
