Mystery Noises

I've had my G35 for almost two years and it's always had these mystery noises about the cabin. I mentioned this to the dealership and they said it had something to do with the seatbelt assembly. So, I just shrugged it off. However, in the last six months, I've been hearing a tapping noise coming from the rear of the car...almost sounds like its coming from the trunk. When I check for loose objects, I can't find anything.

Anybody else have the same situation? Any suggestions?

NO! Don't go back there! One day, you'll find your trunk full of crabs and a dead fisherman in there!

I never did figure out what made those damn noises.

A dude ran a stop sign and plowed into the front end of my '05 coupe and destroyed it.

other dude plowed into a house after hitting me...

I'm driving an '07 G35 coupe now and I have no problem with mystery noises.

My new G...

If it clicks when you take off and back up then it may be your rear axle bolts. check out the TSB

Holllllly sheit that's a hell of a wreck... You're lucky to come out of that OK. Speaking of mystery noises, I have tons in my '04 - good thing I always listen to music while driving.

Kansas, you from KS? I grew up in OP.

Funny how some people here on the forum claims the rattles, popping, clanking noises don't exists in this perfect coupe..... If it's a metal popping sounded noise.. Take it to the dealer.. It might be ur real axle bolt.

I have an 06 and yes, my rear axle bolt was loose. So they didn't FIX it in the 06 coupe either... (It was thought to only exists in the 03 coupes).

I'm actually from L.A, but I lived in Kansas during 1999. I was a writer for the Wichita Eagle. I love Kansas.
