Based on that fact alone, I'd tell the stealership to pound sand. Order rotors and pads online and DIY. It's easy to do and shouldn't take more than 2hrs with the right tools.
Yeah...I agree.
But let me add something...
Rotors do not wear down just from pads, unless the pad wear rivets wore deep grooves in them. Then yeah, probably need replacing.
Without deep grooves, small ones ok, rotors can be turned/trued a few times before replacement needed.
With only 15K on your rotors, they shouldn't need replacing, just turned/trued.

^ +1 on the pads only. rotors rarely are a total loss and should last you ~50K miles at least. Get them turned/resurfaced and change your pads.

I got 30+K on my Coupe and breaks are in good cond. I do not think you need to replace the once you have just yet. But then nobody knows how you drive.

Gawd I hate Dealerships like that. Those kind steal from the blind and uneducated any chance they get.
Oh...rust on my rotors...yeah, guess they need replacing
Stealerships like that are put on my blacklist and I go out of my way to spread the word.

Ok...my rant is over . Just hate business that do business like that.

that dealership is pretty dishonest.
its highly unlikely that they're selling you any rotors for $3xx per pair. very unlikely. also, if the rotors are rusted, tell them drive the car. the rust will come off

what that dealer is doing is borderline fraud.

I have about 55k miles with my 04 Coupe (Brembo brakes)and I was quoted about $1,500 to change the front pads and calipers (all Brembo). The rotors were $510 a piece and the pads about $195, labor $160 plus tax and the total came in just short of $1,500. This is pretty expensive, to say the least !

Any comments on the price ? Is it right, wrong, just about, etc ?

Dude, you got off easy. I went in and they said I had to change my front two rotors and four brake pads. I was quoted $900... LOLOL. I told off my service advisor and asked to speak to the service manager. He cut the price to 400 cause I just had a major service 600 miles before and they didn't catch or warn me about the brake wear. I wanted to go for a big brake conversion with factory performance in Orlando, but I didn't have the extra cash right now due to the holidays. Once these brakes wear down I will convert. I don't like how Infiniti cuts the rotors every brake pad change. I only cut my honda's rotors twice in it's life....

So, they tried to charge you only $900 for two rotors and four brake pads, all original BREMBO ?!! That's not bad .... They're asking me to pay $1,020 for two front rotors and $195 for the pads ..... I'm just trying to find a place where I can get the original Brembo rotors and pads (front) for less money .... Any ideas ?
