All 4 of my rims DAMAGED!!
All 4 of my rims DAMAGED!!
Well guys, I read about people having their cars damaged all the time here and never had the same happen to me until now. I went to get my snow tires on and they scratched and chiped the paint on my stock 18's one EVERY single lug hole on EVERY single rim. It was a company called Town Fair Tire in CT. I brought the G35 to them freshly cleaned so I knew where every single scratch was. Additionally the wheels were perfectly clean and I got the car back with that tire lube oil all over the rims and on my front fender of the car. I will get some pics and more details later. Let me know what you would do. They said that they have a repair shop that can repaint them for me.

I'm in CT as well, which TFT was it so I know to steer clear of them! Also, I'd go back and speak to the manager and POLITLEY ask for some compensation. If your a d*ck, then you won't get anything, but if your civil, you will most likely get everything fixed. If that doesn't work, call corporate, send pics and ask for it to be fixed. Pretty simple I think, the f-ed up, they need to own up and fix it.
yup... thats why when i go to a tire shop... i tell em "if you cant change the tires without damaging the rims, let me know now, be ready to buy me new rims, or im going elsewhere" lol

Or a butch of minimum wage ppl who don't know that you're not to use an impact gun on the lugs and not to use that metal thingy to break the tire bead and
remove/install the tires on the wheel. Supposed to use the plastic thingy so it doesn't scratch the wheel

If they don't ante up for new rims or, at the least, complete restoration by the shop of YOUR CHOICE, take them to small claims court. The value of your wheels is far greater than the court cost you would encounter. I'm speaking from personal experience here.
Thanks for all the support guys. I appreciate all the comments and suggestions.
They have a wheel repair shop that they say they can repair the damage. I am hoping that they will come out perfect again. I hate having stuff refinished when they were friggin "like" brand new when I dropped the car off. They have dragged this out for 3 days now saying that the repair shop did not return their call. They say now that there is another shop they are going to contact and they will have an answer for me tommorrow. I plan to also ask for some sort of money back or partial refund. What do you guys think? This was all done at the Town Fair Tire in Vernon, CT. Steer clear of them.
