What can I negotiate on an 06 off the lot?
Still seems a little wishy washy....
fcarpio- that 35,481 on the print out is almost EXACTLY what they told me they would do for that car. Basically he wrote down sticker price, then said take 3 grand off cause its an 06. Keep in mind they gave us this price when we werent even interested in getting a new one, and we werent even close to negotiating anything. Needless to say I dont know how accurate edmunds and kbb are. At least I hope they arent accurate!
Kevinn above mentioned that a "2006 6MT with premium, nav, was 34,900". That seems a bit more on par.

I went to Lake Norman Infiniti. They were also doing 3 off the top. The sticker on my 06 was 36,XXX. I was able to $6500 off the msrp including their immediate three and also got KBB private party value for my trade in. $500 was also from an online coupon they have on their site. So the negotiation really took $3k additional off. The lot was full of 06s and this was about 2 weeks before the 07s hit the lot. If they still have 06s in then they are not doing their job at this point. The best situation for them would be to have sold out of them before the 07s hit so they would not be paying leases on the last years model. Mine was 06 DG auto with premium B and sport package. I tried getting an extended warranty thrown in on top but I thought sales manager was going to have a heart attack.

Sloppymax, can you give me your # or shoot me an email?? I wanted to see who you talked to at Lake Norman. I called today and they told me they had 1 left EXACTLY how we wanted it. If I could work the same deal (6500) off, then that would put it at JUST where we want to be.
skaskawitz@bellsouth.net is my email.

skaskawitz@bellsouth.net is my email. You got to be carefull about what other ppl's post about their own deals, or telling you at what price you should've get, cus we dont know what or how they got such low prices, some compare their 04's G35 to your deal, it might seem low to you but you might fail to recognize that 04's base and option's price were lower than 06's or if they have trade-ins or what kind of interest rate they got with their low selling price, I am not saying that they fabricated their price at all, but makes wonders a bit how they got G35 coupe for 2k below invoice, you just have to read between the lines.
Nice M3 by the way, have same rim as yours, are you still getting 335i?

are you saying pay invoice or pay no more than 33k?...cus the invoice for options on Wadd3456's Coupe is around 35100.
If msrp is 38k you should be able to get about 4000-4500 knocked off the coupe with some negotiating. I think this is a good target to reach and should be achievable. Thers a whole bunch of factors though, such as your trade especailly if you owe more than what its worth. Reminder: Dont be a dick to your salesperson, this does not get you a better deal! Become friends and let them work for you. They'll happily get you the best deal they can. Tell them what your willing to pay...."If you can do it we will take right now, if not the other place will." This is the attitude you should have. Be positive.
If you stick to your guns, you walk away happy...just be realistic, don't shoot for unattainable goals, this is just frustrating for you and the dealer. Be willing to walk out if they're not willing to reach at least 4000 off, you may not drive away that day with the vehicle but I'll bet that your salesman will call you in a couple of days with a better price when he hasn't sold anything in a couple of days! You should enjoy this process, smile, have fun!
P.S. The last day of the month, right before close, really is truely the time to buy the dealer is tired and wants you out of there as soon as possible! But there is risk involved, the dealer may not have exactly what you want, inventory is low b/c you waited too long to get the best price. If you're flexible it shouldn't be an issue (most G owners, me included, are very picky though).

Its confirmed....its only for the sedans. I called the dealer and they said NO WAY to the 6500 off. He said the sedans can do $6500 since the markup is massive and they get additional "manufactures discounts".

correction made.
