What can I negotiate on an 06 off the lot?

Then again that was last month so who knows.

This sucks, but oh well. He said they could match anyones deal....I just need to find the best one and be able to tell him about it. I wonder what the Charlotte dealer was doing on the coupes?
The M3 is more of a nitch vehicle and honestly I got bored with it
That's about the funniest thing I ever read. I use to own an '02 M3 which I tracked regularly. I presently have an active SCCA racing license, so I'm accustomed to fast cars and my M3 never got boring for me.
About a year ago one of my coworkers said he was disappointed in his '05 M3 coupe. I told him that I was surprised and asked if he would mind if I took the car for a drive. We work in the country and there are lots of nice twisties in which the M3 shines. After about a 15 minute drive, my coworker was no longer disappointed in his M3. I also convinced him to enroll in a performance driving school so that he could have the ability to at least scratch the surface of what his car can offer.

What im saying is offer the dealer invoice price, the markup from the factory to dealership on the G35 is rather slim, and with good credit you can take advantage of thier 1.8 for 24 month or 3.9 for for 4/5 year loan. I dont think that the invoice would have been much over 33k.

LOL I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but it doesn't work that way. Do you seriously expect any Dealer to match the price that some guy told you they paid on the internet? The only deal that they will match is one that you get in writing from another Dealer. "I'll match the best deal that you can get" is just a gimmick used by almost every Dealer since almost no Dealer will give you their best deal in writing.

FAST1, no I honestly dont believe they will match "some guy". If you noticed above, I PM'ed one of the members of this board to get details in private about who he specifically dealt with at what dealership. I'll call that person up and confirm right from his mouth.
I did this 2 days ago and relayed the info to the local dealer. He called them directly and then called me back confirming that they were deeply discounting sedans. He said "find me a coupe deeply discounted" and we will work that deal.
If they dont, who cares, its still worth trying.
Also, the M3 is a fantastic, fast, fun, car. I think we all have a right to want something newer and different though.
By bored I meant, "running out of things that I could afford to do to it".

Typically there is market support being offered by many manufacturers to help Dealers move their '06s. Some of this support is in the public domain and you can find out what it is by visting Edmunds.com. You can determine the invoice and retail values of any car by going to sites like Edmunds.com or Kelley Blue Book.com.

I've always thought that if you can get the car for MSRP out-the-door, you are getting a good deal and can save the hassle of negotiating. Either they will sell it for that price or not. If they say they can and then come back with anything BUT that, I walk.
In this case, the MSRP is: $38,000. The price he quoted you is about $35,000. 10% tax and license is $3500. Total price if you bought it for this discounted price is: $38,500- Close enough to MSRP out-the-door (actually you'd end up better my way).
Or go through Costco.

WOOT WOOT!
Just bought a car today. I called around and found exactly what the wife wanted. We negotiated $33,500 for an 06 6MT, diamond graphite w/aero, premium package, splash gaurds, and Sirrus Radio.

Here is an interesting tid-bit. The dealer called me last night and said that the car they "found" was NOT on their lot but was in one in the vacinity. He then told me it had 1100 miles on it! He was under the assumption it was new, as was I. So, he said he called around the southeast untill he found exactly the same car all the way in DC. The guy couldnt find one identical, but he did find one with everything PLUS active-steering. Guess who's getting RAS for free??? MUWAH!
So, unfortunately we cant pick it up today since its being trucked over, but at least they were honest and told me the issue with the other car before I drove 1.5hrs to find out myself. We're patiently waiting till Tuesday now.
