Do I need to have my car tuned???

I have done 2 mods to my car so far: CAI + stillen dual cat-back exhaust. Is it necessary to have the car tuned??? Also, what exactly is done to your car when it's getting tuned??
I would really appreciate if I could get some input from some of you guys. Thanks in advance!

You cannot Tune your car unless you have a Tunable EMS (Engine Management System). You can do a re-flash but that only erase the Manufacturer setting. With only Exhaust and Intake our computer can still handle it with no problem. If you have Intake/Headers/Exhaust/Plenum upgrade/HFC/..etc.. then it will be good to do a reflash or get an EMS coz you'll be leaning.

So, it would be a waste of money and time to tune my car considering the MOD's I have, right? I thought by tuning it or doing a re-flash, I would take better advantage of my MOD's. Well, thanks anyway!!!

reflashes are usually done at aftermarket places such as Technosquare

A quick guide, if you have ton of Bolt-on mods and you do buy an EMS and tune everything to max every HP then it is a good guide that you will gain another 10+ WHP (Depend on the Tune) on top of what ever HP you are gaining on your Bolt-on. A decent EMS will cost you $$$ and to tune will cost you $$$. So the power to $$ ratio of an EMS+Tune isn't the best out there for Bolt-on. People uses EMS on FI since there are limitless power to squeeze. A reflash doesn't give you the flexibility of a real EMS+Tune and won't get the same HP gain compare to an EMS.

Dealer do not Tune and do not know how
