yea its normal i thought it was kinda high too but then i got in my moms 5 speed caddy cts and its at 4000 at 80!

it kinda also has to do with the weight of your vehicle. if it's too heavy, it'll ride on higher RPMs at such a low speed. so, you can reduce it..

ummm maybe im wrong but rpms are directly correlated to speed based on gear ratio. in 6th gear, with the 06 model year gearing yes, at 80mph you will be at 3k rpms. this will not change from car to car unless you have different size tires or have altered your transmission. Engine mods have nothing to do with this.

its the gearing on our cars. One of my good friends has a 03 CL-type S and he is at 2200rpm or something like that at 80.. his car gets great gas milage compared to us.

my 03 is at 2900 when hit 80. the 6mt is great.

sounds right man i have an 04 but i have and injencai and exhaust. i'm just about at 3000 at 80 so ur good

Dear sweet lord baby jeebus made our little piggies rev higher to go faster quicker and only at the expense of good ol' gasoline.
