Fast Intentions ordered ....... questions

Toss up between FI and Stillen but current reduced pricing on FI was very "convincing" !

As I wait for new system I've tried to find threads from owners. I've seen a few and undertand FI is kind of new to the marketplace. At this time I have no questions about quality. My main concerns are HP gains and more importantly sound. I understand HP gains from any system are minimal but wonder if any FI owners can comment on the 'ol Butt Dyno aspect? As far as sound I want LOUD when I'm into the motor. Soundclips drive me nuts ..... the more I lsten to the more I can't seem to compare, ha.

With the above in mind I hope some owners will comment as I suspect others arewanting/ considering this catback system. THX!

exhaust clips just dont do the exhaust justice... because of the VVT (variable valve timing) on our cars the exhaust will always be much louder when in gear at WOT (wide open throttle).. i've heard the Stillen and its nice... the gains are about 8hp and 7tq. I've heard FI is good but heavnt heard their exhaust in person. Im not sure if the Stillen exhaust is still an X-pipe design but i know the FI exhaust is... if it were up to me i'd go with FI just because less people have it, and its suppose to sound very clean.. dont get me wrong i love the Stillen exhaust and it was one of my top choices, but if its speed ur looking for ur looking at the wrong mod to do.... exhaust does almost nothing for noticable power gains... its just for sound

but if it is sound u want i'd look into getting a package deal from FI on their exhaust and 300 cell HFC's.... ur car will sound nuts.

i dont understand why it matters or why are asking now since youve already bought it. kinda late now. but i think most people have already commented that the intimidator exhaust isnt very loud (compared to the new injen, hks, etc) until you slap on some HFCs or test pipes.

as for performance, its suppose to be the best out there but every car will react differently to mods and you probably wont get the gains they claim without some playing with the af ratio.

I have the FI exhaust. I really like it. If you are wanting a real loud sound and performance when you step on it then you really need to get the HFC with the exhaust. I just took mine off and I am kind of regretting it.
