Just Raced 335i...

Wow.. That thing was fast.. I have 6mt, 06" coupe w/ HKS Exhaust, 5/16" spacer, lower plenum, popcharger & z-tube.. For whole first gear I was keeping up with him, and as soon as i shifted to 2nd he started pulling away.. and by time i shift into 3rd he was about car length ahead.. Maybe my shifting was horrible.. Do I suppose to have any chance against him? Or is this normal..

We just got one at school to learn on. Yes, they're quite fast. No, you wont win. My only complaint is how hidden everything is under the hood. You can't even see the turbos unless your under the car. The setup (one turbo is larger than the other) is very nice feeling. Boost throughout the entire rev range. Feels more like a small block 8 than a TT6 when you drive it hard.

Those things stock are as fast as a stock E46 M3 and get awesome gas mileage (relatively speaking of course). Once mods comes out for them (it will take a bit of time for Hamann, AC, and Barbus) they will be absolute monsters i.e. they will destroy E46 M3 etc. What do you expect from a twin turbo BMW inline 6?

I guess you didn't read my post on my observations after taking a 335i on a test drive. It's probably going to be my next car after the lease is up on my G35C.

with the Vishnu Xede tune(you can get them in his shop in SF), I think they posted a 4.2~4.3 0-60 time.

Sequential turbo setup. In addition, I'd feel that a G35 with a similar TT setup would do just as well if not better and still have the reliability, just my opinion though.

Thank you for the correction IVORYGT. I spelled it wrong and referenced the wrong car company, boo me. They do stuff for MB not BMW.

One that is decently loaded goes for about 45k - 47k. I'm assuming the suspension isn't on par with the M3 along with aggressive ECU management, and possibly other things. I'm not really feelin' the new look though, looks too much like a family car. M3 is sport and aggressive looking which is something I really like. Besides most of the TT G35's run roughly 340rwhp - 430rwhp and that's the additional 7k that goes on top of the G stick price. It's pretty equal from what I can tell.

All depends on the options you choose. Low 40's to high 40's (almost 50k fully loaded).
