Once you resetted the ecu, would the stock bose system be resetted as well...then do you have to input the code for the bose again?? if so, do i go to the dealer???

Re: ECU

It depends on which method you're using. If you're doing the quick reset, then no. If you're doing the battery disconnect, then you might lose your presets. That's bout it.

Re: ECU

I've done the 12 hour disconnect. I lost my radio presets and my seat positions, but I did not lose my homelink setting (my garage door still opened).

Re: ECU

Once you reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery, you lose the radio presets, odometer mileage setting, and Navi average mpg's. If you've got a Sedan, you also lose the seat memory settings. The Homelink isn't affected on either ride.
The Easy reset is the way to go. It's quick and you lose no settings, but you must practice the timing for that method.
You'll find info on that reset in our DIY forum under 'ECU Resets'.

Re: ECU

Silver350, by disconnecting the battery, you lose the radio presets only. The radio works fine otherwise. You just have to reset your presets.

You should be able to just do the first part (the ECU reset). If there's no way to get that reset to work, then it's probable that you'll have to do one or more of the other procedures.
I've not heard of anyone who has had to do that yet tho.
That ECU reset takes a little practice.....so be patient and persistent.
