Replaced my windshield - frustrated

So I had a crack in my windshield on my '04.5 coupe and needed to get it replaced. Keep in mind that everytime I go and have work done on my coupe somebody ***** something up. Well, in this case, I specifically asked Safelite to order OE glass because my insurance would cover it. They tell me that they have OE glass in stock. I am like, ok, that's strange, but cool. At any rate, I go in and ask if I can watch them install it, they said no. I should have checked to make sure that at least it was the Asati OE glass. Bottom line is that they install it and it is not OE. It is by Solar. Of course there is some wavyness in the optics when I'm seated in the drivers seat and look towards the passenger side. I don't remember seeing this in the OE glass, wondering if this is to be expected or if I have to start making some noise with the insurance company and Safelite.

In addition, when they re-installed the front pillar finishers, there is a bit of a mismatch where it meets the hood / quarter panel. I hate undoing factory installations, but I guess that is just a necessary evil when owning any car. I just wish that the service industry wasn't full of so many people that don't care.

yea...def let your insurance company know. Don't take that lying down. If you notice some difference then and its not to your satisfactory then you have a right to make it right.
