Infiniti Dealer Service

My driver side window motor broke so i brought the car in for service. (under warranty) My passenger side window had broke a year ago or so and had been replaced. In Connecticut there are 3 dealerships, none of which are within 30 miles of my house and 1 dealership has 2 branches, so technically there are only 2 independent dealerships for infiniti.

So it goes in on tuesday for a motor fix, they give me a loaner. So i drive there, drop it off, go home. (Trip time = approx 1 Hr). The next day they ask me if i want $1200+ in service they recommended for me at 45k miles. I refuse, i said just give me the oil change and fix the window. So i go pick it up, pay and drive down the street. The window wont go up or down. So i bring it back and they say oh we just changed the resonator or something like that, sometimes its just them but i guess your motor just died too. So they say leave it here and come back tomorrow. (Trip Time = approx 1Hr)Now thursday comes along and i send my girlfriend to go pick up the car and she brings it home. (trip time = aprox 1 hr) I go to drive it and i open the door and hear a funny noise... i close it and hear a bang. The window was not timed right and was hitting the top of the door frame. You know how our windows slightly raise and lower when you open and close the door... well this one was not right and hitting the top during open and close. So we bring it back to the dealer....AGAIN. This time i wait for them to fix it and i am browsing at the cars inside while we wait. The sales woman comes up to me and asks may i help you. I say no just in for service. She then says well it looks like you surely interested in something. I said just looking but definitely due to the constant service department issues i have had this week and in the past at both of your branches i will never buy another infiniti again. She then said sorry and walked away. So then the car came out, i tested it, all was fine, the manager who was dealing with my car from day one said ok here ya go, bye bye. and i left. (trip time with wait approx 1.5 Hrs). So thats right, 4.5 in wasted hours just picking up and dropping off my car due to their incompetance. Not even a Sorry for the inconvenience or heres a free oil change, or whatever.

This is definitely my last straw. I cant stand dealerships. I never will buy another infiniti due to this. They are suppose to be amazing and i have to downright question if they even know what they are doing.

Anyone else with similar issues? I am thinking about going to a nissan dealership for further service.

I run a shop down here in DC and boy i could tell you, if you own a BMW or Mercedes, you'll run into all sorts of problem with the Window system. I wouldnt blame this on Infiniti, but the dealer you took it into. They should of tested out the window before even calling you to have to car picked up. I would write or call the general manager and see what he could do for you.

Sounds like they're a bunch of incompetent retards at that dealership. Didn't they test your window before saying it was ready for you to pick up? sheesh.

But saying that you should never buy an Infiniti again based on your one experience with this particular dealership is like saying "I'm never ever going to hire someone to water my lawn again, because the last guy who did it over-watered it."
Just go to a different dealer next time. Doesn't mean all dealers are incompetent, and what makes you think that another car brand has service techs that are any more competent?

Customer Service in ALL BUSINESS these days seems to be horribly lacking, Nothing like how it used to be even 15 yrs ago, My dad (63) says its incredible the lack of service and standards business's treat their customers under now, He says it was completly diff 30+ years ago. I would agree even in my short life it seems service is lacking and companies just dont give a freak, almost like they are annoyed they need to help you.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Fortunately, I've had pretty good service at my dealershp. I've gotten a free oil change and a free alignment. I had a check engine light that was not easy to analyze. They could have simply turned the light off but they kept searching until they found the problem. Kept the car for days. I was very pleased.

wow, well im deff on ur side with this one. dealerships and all automotive repair shops in general r filled with people who have 0 qualifications or nowledge about anything that has to do with diagnosing and repairing vehicles. And no im not talking about the master technicians who have worked on cars for decades which there may b 1 or 2 of them in each shop. Those guys r the reason them shops r still in business. I'm walking about the service writers, service managers, and even owners or the dealerships. All they know how to do, is lie to people who know nothing about cars and write up huge bills for those people to have to pay. I bought my car from Woodbury West Chevy dealer in CT, some moron actually traded in my G for some hay truck. They said my car was inspacted twice before i was given the keys. Then after driving it for less then a week i realized that my ebrake was loose and the rotors were squeeling. I brought it back to them. They had an oil change guy sand papering my pads, didnt even know how to make my ebrake tight by adjusting the ebrake shoes, and after arguying with every possible employee in that place about my rotors needing to b resurfaced to get rid or the squeel, they said by the ownder of the dealer that my 03 G35 Luxury Sports Coupe with Brembo package is a used vehicle and that there is no way to get rid of the squeel and they couldn't help me and if i wanted to get any service done id have to pay for it. I complained to BBB on that ****ty dealership. I was against the Automotive industry bail out simply because dealerships r allowed to get away for **** like this and they should all b closed down and reopened buy someone qualified.
I have extended waranty on my G, and after doing my sparkplugs, i discovered the famous oil pooling in the back two spartplugs. Now i have to go to Infinity and argue with them about how its a comon issue and bothe the valve covers need to b replaced not just the gasket. AHHHHHHH. if i get lied to again, ill prolly end up in jail for knockin out the guy. Screw dealership service writers, let me talk to the master techs. Please!!!!!
