a few newbie questions

im not very car savvy at all and have a few questions that may seem stupid to you guys, but here goes

1, what is the difference between a revup and a norev engine? which is better and how do i know which i have

2, what do spacers do?

3, FI = forced induction right?

i may add some more

Rev-up is a motor that's available on 05+ manual transmission G's; the peak hp is increased from 280 to 298 and it has a higher redline.

Spacers sit between the upper and lower sections of your plenum (air intake, it's under your plastice engine cover). The stock plenum has a smaller air space in the front by design, so the spacer increases the volume of air inside your plenum which results in a hp increase.

Yes, FI = forced induction (supercharged, turbocharged)

hmm thanks,

i also saw something about spacers on wheels, im assuming these just push the wheels out a bit?

The red should be plenum. Your air intake is different.

yes

spacers are bandaids

get wheels with the right offsets to begin with

well i saw someone talking about putting spacers on OEM 19's. are you telling me the wheels taht came on my car arent set right? ..

They do that to push the wheel out a bit so the wheel are flushed with the fender or so the wheel might clear the aftermaket big brake kit/suspension...

they might be putting spacers on oem 19 to fit a big brake kit so they have enough clearance
