Passport 8500 - no doubt about it.
Once you get yourself familiar with it, and get to know the different frequencies, you can easily tell what's a cop and what's not...
Hey I got a rhyme...

Re: NJ radar?

I live in NJ and must say I've been saved a few times by my Bel 985... I've had it in my prelude and my coupe for about a year and it works great for me...

bel 985!!!!

that's what I'm talking about.

Proven to be as good as the others for much less in INDEPENDANT tests.

Twlight blue/Willow 6mt on order. Options: Sunroof.

Re: NJ radar?

Personal opinion: Valentine1 all the way. You can argue the differences in detection range, etc all you want (I would suggest reading what Car&Driver had to say about this), but no other detector offers the bogey counter and directional arrow features. This is what puts the V1 in a totally different league IMHO. I've had mine for about a year now, and let me tell you, once you get used to its features, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them.
Here's a link to a page that has the actual test results from the Feb 2002 C&D test: http://www.valentine1.com/lab/cdtest.asp

Also, here's a link to a pretty good write up of a decent custom V1 install for sedans: http://www.g-owners.com/article_read.asp?id=3
