Bad Gas Mileage?

Just doing a search, most people with the 5AT are seeing 20-21 when they "drive it like they stole it." I do straight highway trips on level roads (South Dak. to North Dak.) cruising at 75-80 and only see 21 mpg...what gives? You would think this car is aero enough to slip through the air.. Am I seeing the right mileage for having 20K on the odometer? How do you guys get better mileage?

This subject has been beating to death, but I will till you. I have an 04 sedan fully stock with 50,000 miles on it, and I get 20 MPG consistently. 70% hwy 30% city.

I don't think anyone gets 20-21 driving it like they stole it... manual or auto.

I get like 21-24 driving my 6MT pretty lightly most of the time. If i'm driving it real aggresive, the economy is more like 16-18 MPG... although that usually only lasts for short spurts and rounds out to much higher economy when balanced out across a whole tank of fuel and mixed with normal driving.

75-80? If you're willing to sacrifice, drop about 10~15mph. Really, you'll probably get better mileage at 40, but that's just a bit slow.

I just broke my record last week: 21.20 mpg.

I drove 347 miles and it took 16.37 gallons to fill it up. I'm shooting for 22 mpg next.
