Yea the most disheartening thing is when every time u start ur car after a trip u see the bar in gas gauge decrease everytime. It almost makes u wanna go slower to increase the gas mileage. Nonetheless, i only fill it up once a week, which isn't half bad.

The new engine for the '08 coupe is suppose to have a better fuel management system. Blah, i say everyone forget about the 298 horses under the engine, and drive everywhere going 40mph and never letting ur RPM go above 3...u'll all have great gas mileage then.....pause......pause.....

I have an 03 and I here a knock/thud sound when the car is heated at idle. Is this what you are talking about?

I usually get 14 or 15, I think the highest I have gotten was 16, that was a boring couple of days.

 

i get about 15 or 16 mpg...i fill my tank once a week and get maybe 255 or 260 miles out of it if im lucky...85% of my driving is city, all stop and go.

edit: i do drive like a bat outta hell 80% of the time. i like to hear my car

 

Sorry to hear that y'all are getting low gas mileage. I get about 23-24 mpg. I live in the DC metro area, which equates to a good mix of highway, traffic, and local street travel. I am usually conservative about my driving, but have to open her up at least a few times a day.
