Hey Edmond, I am also located in Houston. I found my two month old '06 with 2200 miles this past October on Autotrader.com from a dude in St. Louis. It was brand new in my eyes with so little mileage and I bought from him for $31,200. So I guess it is possible to get a "like new" '06 for under $32k but it may be rare.

Totally different animals. You'll miss the STi. It's nice be able to switch b/w both though.

Like everyone is saying, "you'll miss the STI." Frankly, I got the G35 for every day driving purposes. I bought an automatic, took a while to get used to, but never the less the G is a great car. Another option is the sedan, which i.m.o. is a great car for every day driving purposes.

yeah i realize i will miss the STI, and frankly, when i sell the STI, i will probably buy a used one sometime in the future. just now, i really need something more practical, something less harsh, smooth power.

my only real complaint w/ subaru is how they change the design of their models every year. 2002-2003 bug eye WRX, then 2004-2005 peanut wrx/sti, then my model 2006-2007. now they are coming out w/ a re-design again in 2008.

You should've waited for the STI limited... it's very low key

Less harsh? Definetly. But my STi is a much more practical car than my wife's G coupe. At least the STi seats five and has a real trunk. If only the STi had a fold down back seat. At least the '06 STi has a pass through.

The design changes usually hurts re-sale on most cars, but STi's have held their value really well regardless.
