I'm sorry this has turned into a pissing contest. It was not my intention but unfortunately its begining to become the intention of some others.

 

Yeah I hear ya - I owned an S4 for 3 years until recently getting into a G35 6MT coupe. I still hang out with my S4 buddies, and I fully admit the G35 was a bit slow compared to their modded cars, until I put a 100hp shot of nitrous on it (which I had planned all along). It is also nice to not have to worry about turbos blowing. But they are both great cars in many of their own ways, and there are times I do miss the audi, especially that AWD (especially now with nitrous)

Hey, MadMan- what kit are you squeezing with? I'm still not really into using nitrous with this ride, but the idea keeps crossing my mind...What do you use, and why? Any feedback is appreciated...

I'd like to see that. Not saying it can't be done, but I'd like to see it [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]. Hopefully this vid you have is at a drag strip, and not some B.S. street race at night from a rolling start...

Anyway, I was actually considering buying a used S4 instead of my G35C. I decided against it when I learned of all the various problems people were having with it, especially with the turbos. Then I learned of Audi not honoring the warranty if they even suspected any modifications to the boost levels or replacing the chip. The last thing I wanted in a car was high maintenance and no warranty. And German car parts and repair bills absolutely terrify me. One of the reasons I passed on the M3 and bought a Z06 instead.

So my take on the S4: sweet car to drive, but I wouldn't want to own one. [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]

The S4 they are in is the one they raced last year in the Gumball. Its a very very fast S4.

Hey, I used the universal EFI wet kit from NOS. I was planning to do a write-up with pics soon, as I just installed it. The reasons why I went this route vs. other forced induction options are simplicity and low cost. There are no issues with tuning and it is easy to install and take off. I just came from the turbo S4 so I know the fun and convenience of having boost or 'power' always on tap - something not as convenient with nitrous - but I didn't want to spend alot of money and want to be able to put my car back to stock easily. Actually I also had a little shot on my S4, in fact I've had it on the last 4 cars I've owned, so call me a bottle junkie!
